About Liz Sherman

Liz Sherman, Mother of 3, loving partner to Glenn, foster mum of 17, Mortgage Consultant. That's me in a nutshell!

Whether or not it is helpful to know a little about me in order for you to trust me with your mortgage is - questionable!! Some folks just want to know if I can do my job-I can! I have had wonderful training thru the Mortgage Centre at CMI University courses, at Lender Seminars and at Broker training sessions, plus the advice and support of colleagues. This career, like so many today is not learned at one time, experience is a wonderful teacher and continuing education is a must. I certainly will not know all the answers but I will know where to go to get them!

Some folks might be interested in more well…I have 3 great kids, now in their 20's, technically not kids anymore, but that is a hard habit to change. Two of them own their own homes, mortgages by mum! What a wonderful privilege to be able to help them with that - and I learned how good I am with First Home Buyers-lots of questions, lots of fears, means lots of answers, lots of patience and lots of support. For 10 years I was a foster parent in Peel for new born babies. For 10 more after that I worked in a Daycare Centre, after going thru college for my ECE (Early Childhood Education) Diploma I was made Assistant Director then Director of a wonderful center full of preschoolers. If you are wondering how I got from there to here, well sometimes we use our life experience in a different way than we expected. I was a Manager/Administrator in a Real Estate Company. I now have a more complete understanding of what Real Estate Professionals need from their mortgage consultants. How vital the team work is between Agent and Consultant to keep the real estate transaction together. When it was determined that an in-house mortgage consultant was needed - I was volunteered! I realize now that my customer service skills with families, my understanding of the real estate business, my personal experience with mortgages and my ability to educate could serve me well in a new career. Back to school I went and as they say here I am today enjoying my new life as a Mortgage Consultant.

I love to sail and owned a C & C 27'. Love Georgian Bay (respect it when it gets angry) love to travel, especially in our own Canada and love my cottage(home) in Wasaga Beach. I look forward to being a Grandma, but my kids think I am much too young for that while I think they are much too young to have children so ….. so far that is all going well. I would love to have another boat one day! For now I am having a good time, working hard and looking forward to meeting many new clients as well as keeping in touch with the old (that is former) clients! I certainly look forward to helping you in your mortgage needs, feel free to call or email. I would like very much to get input on this website, it is a first for me and I would welcome any helpful hints!
